RimuSDR includes a trial mode for evaluation, limited to 80m receive-only with transmit disabled.

RimuCAT and RimuDAX are available for download and will activate once a valid license is applied.

Install with automatic updates (Debian‑based systems only)

If you’re running Debian 13+, Ubuntu 24.04+, Linux Mint 22.2+, or Raspberry Pi OS Trixie (64‑bit), you can add the Rimu Systems APT repository. This makes new releases of RimuSDR, RimuDAX, and RimuCAT appear in your system’s standard update tools - Software Updater, GNOME Software, Discover, or Update Manager - just like any other package on your system.

The installer adds the repository, imports the signing key, and installs the packages. Future releases show up in your normal update workflow; you choose when to apply them.

For Fedora, Rocky/Alma, Arch, Manjaro, and other non‑APT distributions, the repository isn’t supported. Use the manual downloads below instead.

RimuSDR is a fully supported Windows client with all core radio features available. RimuCAT is also available for Windows, but virtual serial ports are not supported there: use TCP, UDP or a hardware COM port. RimuDAX is Linux‑only, so DAX audio is not provided on Windows.

Raspberry Pi Compatibility

RimuSDR for Raspberry Pi requires Raspberry Pi OS Trixie, since it’s built against a newer toolchain (glibc 2.38+).

Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm uses an older glibc version, so systems running Bookworm may show errors such as GLIBC_2.38 not found.
