Confirming audio flow

The RX channel level meters in RimuDAX respond to signals received on the corresponding slice in RimuSDR. If signals are present on the slice, the meter must move.

A silent meter

A silent meter when signals are present usually has one of two causes:

1. The DAX button is not enabled on the slice in RimuSDR.
2. The wrong DAX channel number is selected on the slice.

Check each in turn.

Checklist

RimuSDR connected first

RimuSDR must be connected, with the DAX button active on the slice, before RimuDAX starts. See Connecting RimuDAX.

Channel numbers match

Slice DAX channel 1 maps to RX1, channel 2 to RX2, and so on. See Audio channels.

Same station

RimuDAX must be connected to the same station as RimuSDR.

TX enabled before RX

Enable the TX channel before you enable any RX channel.

Correct device selected

Your software must use rimu.dax.rx1 as its input and rimu.dax.tx as its output. See PulseAudio device names.
